Dr. Giuseppe Piccardo earned his Ph.D. in 1993 with a dissertation titled "Analysis of Coupled Aeroelastic Phenomena." Since January 2018, he has served as a Full Professor of Structural Mechanics at the University of Genoa. He is a member of the Teaching Board of the Ph.D. Program in Civil, Chemical, and Environmental Engineering at the University of Genoa. He has delivered invited lectures at universities and conferences both in Italy and abroad and has been a visiting professor at Beijing Jiaotong University and Chongqing University in China, as well as a visiting researcher at the University of Sydney in Australia and Tokyo Polytechnic University in Japan. Giuseppe has also served on the scientific committees of international and national conferences, chaired sessions at such events, and acted as a reviewer for journals and conferences. Additionally, he has supervised doctoral theses and research grants and was a member of a C.N.R. Study Group tasked with preparing and updating guidelines related to wind actions on structures.
