Dr. Umadevi V culminated her academic pursuits by successfully completing her Ph.D. program at IIT Madras, Chennai in 2011. Dr. Umadevi V's career in academia commenced with teaching roles at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore, and Dr. T. Thimmaiah Institute of Technology, KGF, Karnataka. Since September 2012, she has been serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at B. M. S. College of Engineering, Bangalore. Throughout her tenure, Dr. Umadevi V has exhibited leadership skills, having served as the Head of the CSE department at B. M. S. College of Engineering from January 2019 to February 2022.
Dr. Umadevi V is recognized as a resource person for conducting workshops on Latex and Deep Learning, providing valuable insights to faculty members from various engineering colleges. Additionally, she has secured research grants from TEQIP and Amoudi Scientific Research Foundation of Majmaah University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, focusing on research in the area of Medical Thermography and COVID-19-related work. Dr. Umadevi V's dedication to education and research underscores her commitment to advancing knowledge and addressing contemporary challenges in her field.
