Dr. Mondal earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UPES in 2020, solidifying his expertise in his field of study. Dr. Mondal's professional career reflects a dedication to both academia and research. He currently serves as an assistant professor-Senior Scale in the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun, India. Additionally, Dr. Mondal has played a crucial role in securing funding for research projects, including a DST-funded project of 42 Lakhs INR as a core team member and a currently running DST-funded project of 33.7 Lakhs INR under the young scientist scheme as a Principle Investigator. He has also generated a fund of INR 1.2 Crore from DST for the development of the R&D Laboratory.
In addition to his research and funding achievements, Dr. Mondal has taken on leadership roles, serving as the in-charge of the IPR Cell at UPES for all IPR-related activities and currently leading the Centre for Alternate Energy Research (CAER) at UPES. He has also authored 6 books for various reputed publishers, further showcasing his expertise and contributions to academia. Dr. Mondal's multifaceted career demonstrates his commitment to advancing knowledge and innovation in the field of electrical engineering and energy systems.
