Dr. Berwal earned his M.Tech and Ph.D degrees from VNIT Nagpur, India, and his B.Tech from Chaudhary Devi Lal Memorial Government Engineering College, Haryana. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Communication Engineering, Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, MHOW, Indore, India, under the Ministry of Defence. Previously, he spent over a decade at various National Institutes of Technology (NITs) under the Ministry of Education, including NIT Uttarakhand where he held roles such as Head of Department and Coordinator of Career Counselling and Placement.
Dr. Berwal has over 10 years of experience in teaching, training, administration, and research within the Government of India. His notable achievements include leading a Rs. 40 Lac research project sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology on "Secret Sharing Scheme Based Technology for Multimedia Security over Cloud," supervising multiple M.Tech and PhD scholars, and publishing over 100 technical articles in esteemed international conferences and journals. His contributions have been recognized with awards such as the Best Faculty Award 2022 at NIT Uttarakhand and the All India Rank-1 for Associate Professor (CS/IT) under the Ministry of Defense.
He holds fellowship and membership in several professional bodies including IETE, ACM, IEEE USA, ISTE, and IUIAPR. Dr. Berwal serves as Editor for prestigious journals like the IETE Journal of Research and is actively involved in editorial and organizing roles for various international conferences in his research domains of computer sciences.
