Dr. Dimitrios N. Koufopoulos holds a BSc, MBA, and PhD, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (FCMI), Fellow of the Institute of Consulting (FIC), Certified Management and Business Educator (CMBE), and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA). He is a Professor at the University of London and a Visiting Professor at the School of Law, CCLS at Queen Mary University. Additionally, he is an Honorary Research Fellow at Birkbeck University of London and Director of the Global Online MBA Programmes at the University of London. Dr. Koufopoulos has over 32 years of academic experience, having previously held positions at Brunel University (2002-2018) and Cardiff University (1991-2002). He is also an adjunct Instructor at the Hellenic Open University and Open University of Cyprus and supervises students at the University of Glasgow, Warwick University, and Royal Holloway. In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Koufopoulos established a consulting firm, Gnosis Consultants, in 1994, focusing on business and management advisory services. He founded the Hellenic Observatory of Corporate Governance in 2007, which investigates issues related to Corporate Governance, ESG, and Sustainability in Greece. Since 2016, he has been a partner at Proteas.io, a business model innovation consulting firm, and in 2024, he joined Pensionrc as a Board Advisor, specializing in pension systems globally.
