Prof. Annie Tubadji is an Assistant Professor in Economics at Swansea University, UK. She earned her PhD from Regensburg University, Germany, in 2011, specializing in microeconomic and regional economic research focused on cultural bias and economic choice. Her work integrates artificial intelligence approaches into this field. Since 2007, she has developed the Culture Based Development (CBD) paradigm, which has been applied in over 50 peer-reviewed publications. Tubadji’s research has earned her several accolades, including the 2010 Student Paper Award from the Association for Institutional Thought and the 2021 Dillwyn Medal for Social Sciences from the Learned Society of Wales. Her professional experience includes roles at the University of West of England, University of Bologna, University of the Aegean, and the Institute for Employment Research in Germany. Tubadji has also worked with UNDP, UNICEF, and Gallup International, and has consulted for the European Commission, OECD, and other organizations. Currently, she is a Vice President of the International Society for Quality of Life Studies (ISQOLS) and represents Swansea University in the UNESCO-OECD PASCAL Network of Learning Cities.
