About
Dr. Ahmad is a highly qualified and experienced professional in the field of Structural Engineering, with a focus on concrete materials and structures and their behavior under extreme conditions. He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in Structural Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India, in September 2020, under the supervision of Prof. Pradeep Bhargava. His doctoral research centered on the shear strength of reinforced concrete exposed to elevated temperatures.
Prior to his Ph.D., Dr. Ahmad completed his Master of Technology in Structural Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University, India, where he conducted research on the influence of glass and polyvinyl alcohol fibers on the properties of self-compacting concrete. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the same university.
Dr. Ahmad's professional journey includes various teaching and research positions. He has served as an Assistant Professor at Aligarh Muslim University, where he taught civil engineering courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and supervised research projects. Additionally, he has worked as a Lecturer at Vivekananda College of Technology & Management, where he taught undergraduate civil engineering courses.
His research experience extends beyond academia, as he has served as a Postdoctoral and Teaching Fellow at the Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Construction and Building Materials at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia. Previously, he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Yonsei University in the Republic of Korea, focusing on developing analytical models for predicting the shear strength of reinforced concrete beams exposed to high temperatures.
Dr. Ahmad's comprehensive educational background, combined with his teaching and research experience, demonstrates his dedication to advancing the field of structural engineering. His expertise in concrete materials and structures and his contributions to research make him a valuable asset to both academia and the engineering industry.
