Dr. Saidi Reddy Parne is currently serving as an Associate Professor of Physics at the Department of Applied Sciences, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Goa, located in Cuncolim, South Goa, Goa. With a diverse professional background, Dr. Parne has gained significant experience in both academia and industry.
After completing a Bachelor of Science in M.P.Cs from Osmania University, Hyderabad, Dr. Parne pursued a Master of Science in Engineering Physics and Instrumentation at Kakatiya University, Warangal, A.P, graduating with First Class with Distinction. Subsequently, he obtained a Ph.D. in Fiber Optic Sensors from NIT Warangal.
Dr. Parne has accumulated extensive teaching experience, starting as a Faculty of Physics at NIT Goa in January 2012, then progressing to an Assistant Professor position in January 2013, and finally achieving the rank of Associate Professor from January 2018 to the present date.
Their professional competence spans various domains, with research interests primarily focused on FBG sensors, Photonics, Gas Sensing, Microwave Absorption Materials, Antimicrobial Study, Nanomaterials and Superconducting Motor. Dr. Parne is adept at designing and developing innovative methods in sensing technology and demonstrates proficiency in both independent and collaborative research endeavors. Their blend of academic expertise and practical experience positions them as a valuable asset in advancing scientific knowledge and technological innovation.
