About
Dr. Mohammad Adil Dar is a research-driven professional specializing in the development of lightweight, resilient, and robust cold-formed steel structural systems for rapid construction of multi-storey buildings. Since 2012, he has focused on nonlinear structural behavior and stability response of thin-walled steel built-up members, aiming to unlock their potential. Collaborating with leading structural engineering researchers from academia and industry, he ensures practical and impactful research outcomes. With a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, his thesis on Cold-formed Steel Built-up Columns earned distinction and national recognition. Dr. Dar holds an M.Tech. in Structural Engineering from Kurukshetra University and a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering from M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology. He has garnered awards for his academic achievements and has one year of full-time teaching experience. Dr. Dar's research interests include thin-walled structures, cold-formed steel structures, high-performance steel structures, lightweight cold-formed steel composite structures, and rehabilitation of distressed steel structures. His future endeavors aim to enhance the resilience and robustness of cold-formed steel structures against extreme load events, while promoting sustainability and productivity in the construction industry, driven by a commitment to reducing carbon emissions.
