Prof. Uroš Stritih is a prominent figure in the field of mechanical engineering, specializing in thermal and environmental engineering. He pursued a degree in Energy and Process Engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, where he graduated in 1994 with honors, receiving Prešern's prize for his diploma work. He earned his master’s degree in 1997 with a thesis on "Heat transfer in the wall with phase change material and transparent isolation." Following his master's, he spent three months at the Institute for Thermodynamic and Thermal Technique in Stuttgart. In 2000, he completed his Ph.D. on the topic "Heat transfer enhancement at phase change processes" under the mentorship of Professor P. Novak.
From 2000–Present, Uroš has been employed at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ljubljana. He participated in the European project HARMON-AC, which focuses on air-conditioning inspection procedures under the EPBD Directive. Prof. Uroš is a President of the Slovenian Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-conditioning Engineers (SITHOK), a member of REHVA. He has been awarded an EU project on the integration of geothermal heating and cooling in industrial applications.
