About
Prof. Arito Ono received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Tokyo in 1991 and his Ph.D. in Economics from Brown University in 2001.
He is currently a professor at the Faculty of Commerce, Chuo University, Japan. Before joining Chuo University in 2015, Ono held positions as a senior economist at the Mizuho Research Institute and the Institute for Monetary and Economic Studies at the Bank of Japan (2009–2011). He also contributed to several working groups at the Financial System Council, Financial Services Agency (2011–2015), and served as an advisor at the Bank of Japan’s Research and Statistics Department (2015). His research focuses on banking and corporate finance, and he has coauthored and coedited the book The Economics of Interfirm Networks.
