About
Prof. Arito Ono is currently a professor at the Faculty of Commerce, Chuo University, Japan. He received his B.A. in Economics from the University of Tokyo in 1991 and his Ph.D. in Economics from Brown University in 2001. His main fields of research are banking and corporate finance.
Before joining Chuo University in 2015, Ono held positions as a senior economist at the Mizuho Research Institute and the Institute for Monetary and Economic Studies at the Bank of Japan (2009–2011). He also contributed to several working groups at the Financial System Council, Financial Services Agency (2011–2015), and served as an advisor at the Bank of Japan’s Research and Statistics Department (2015).
Ono has published academic articles in the International Economic Review, the Journal of Banking & Finance, the Journal of Financial Stability, the Journal of the Japanese and International Economies, the Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking, and the Real Estate Economics, among others. His books include: The Economics of Interfirm Networks, R&D Management Practices and Innovation: Evidence from a Firm Survey, and Interfirm Relationships and Trade Credit in Japan: Evidence from MicroData.
