Dr. Funari joined as a Lecturer at the School of Sustainability and Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Surrey, in July 2022.
His research prowess lies in structural mechanics, focusing on numerical, analytical and experimental approaches for assessing masonry structures and simulating fracture phenomena in layered structures.
Since 2015, He has been a Chartered Engineer (in Italy), providing specialist consultancies as Structural Engineer to several public and private entities.
